Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Model and teach a gospel-centered understanding of corporate worship.
- Plan and lead our team during our gatherings, working with the Lead Pastor to incorporate both liturgical elements and moments of Spirit-led response. Scripture, confession of sin, assurance of pardon, and theological affirmations from church history are all included in this.
- Support AVL volunteers in their pursuit of excellence.
Qualifications
- A growing relationship with the Lord.
- High regard for Scripture and the importance of biblical theology.
- Experience leading corporate worship in a Protestant and evangelical context.
- Skilled musician with both vocal and technical ability.
- A good communicator with a posture of joy, humility, and teachability.
Job Description
Specific Job Expectations
- Become a covenant member at Pleasant Valley Church.
- Serve, support, and effectively communicate with our Worship Team.
- Ten hours a week, which includes five hours on Sunday, for sound check and corporate worship. Three hours per week for team communication, personal practice, and service Two
hours on Wednesday for midweek prayer gathering and worship team rehearsal. - Weekly check-in with the Lead Pastor
- Manage the annual assigned budget.
- Discover and develop those in the congregation who desire to serve on the Worship Team.
- Attend staff events.
- Two paid Sundays off a year.
