Position Overview

Snover Heritage Church is seeking a passionate follower of Jesus Christ to serve as our Part-Time Worship Leader. We are looking for someone who loves the local church, has a heart for leading people in authentic worship, and desires to build a worship ministry that points people to Christ.

The ideal candidate will confidently lead worship by singing while playing either guitar or piano, while helping develop a culture of worship that is both spiritually meaningful and musically excellent.

Our church embraces a blended style of worship, incorporating both timeless hymns and modern worship songs. More important than style, we value worship that is biblically faithful, Christ-centered, and encourages the congregation to actively participate in praising God.

Responsibilities

• Lead Christ-centered worship during weekly Sunday services.

• Lead worship vocally while accompanying on guitar or piano.

• Prayerfully create weekly worship set lists that complement the sermon and overall service theme.

• Work closely with the Senior Pastor to plan worship services and special events.

• Recruit, develop, schedule, and encourage worship team members, including vocalists and musicians.

• Lead weekly rehearsals that prepare the team both musically and spiritually.

• Oversee the technical aspects of the worship service, including sound, presentation software, livestream, and production volunteers.

• Recruit and train volunteers for the worship and production ministries.

• Assist in planning and leading worship for special services throughout the year, including Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, and other church events.

• Help cultivate a worship ministry that values biblical truth, congregational participation, and excellence in every area of worship.

Qualifications

• A growing and evident personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• A life that reflects biblical character and Christian maturity.

• Ability to lead worship by singing while playing either guitar or piano.

• Strong musical ability and confidence leading congregational worship.

• A servant's heart with a desire to disciple and encourage volunteers.

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Familiarity with worship technology, including presentation software, sound systems, and livestream production (or a willingness to learn).

• Appreciation for a blended worship style that includes both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music.

• A commitment to selecting music that is biblically sound, Christ-centered, and supportive of the church's teaching ministry.
