Worship Leader

Christ Community Church is seeking a gifted, spiritually mature, and relational Worship Leader to lead and develop the worship ministry of our church.

We are looking for a ministry partner who will build and shepherd a worship team, work collaboratively with our Lead Pastor and church leadership, and help our congregation praise the LORD together through Christ-centered, biblically rich, and engaging worship.

Christ Community Church is an Evangelical Free Church committed to pursuing Christ, Community, and the Great Commission together. We are a close-knit church family that values biblical teaching, genuine relationships, meaningful worship, and making disciples.

Responsibilities

The Worship Leader will provide overall leadership for the church's worship and technical ministries, including:

• Plan and lead Christ-centered, biblically faithful, and congregationally engaging worship services.
• Work closely with the Lead Pastor to select music and shape services that complement the preaching of God's Word on Sunday mornings.
• Lead a blended worship style, normally incorporating one or two hymns or hymn-style songs each week alongside contemporary worship music.
• Recruit, schedule, develop, encourage, and shepherd musicians and vocalists.
• Prepare for and lead at least one worship-team rehearsal each week.
• Develop additional musicians and worship leaders, building a healthy and sustainable team.
• Give oversight and support to the Saturday afternoon service, as needed.
• Maintain regular weekly office hours and meet regularly with the Lead Pastor for prayer, planning, and coordination.
• Participate in staff meetings and appropriate ministry planning.
• Oversee the church's audio/visual ministry, coordinating volunteers and ensuring that sound, presentation, livestream, and related technology are prepared for services.
• Coordinate worship for special services and significant church gatherings as needed.
• Cultivate a worship culture characterized by spiritual authenticity, theological depth, humility, preparation, musical excellence, and enthusiastic congregational participation.
