About the Role
Job Description
We are seeking passionate, patient, and knowledgeable educators to join the Thrive Academy team. Teachers will work directly with students to deliver high-quality educational support, foster engagement, and help learners achieve their academic goals. This role involves creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn.
Our teachers provide 1-on-1 instruction to students for 2, 4, or 6 hours per week and have the opportunity to lead small group clubs once or twice weekly. This online Christian teaching opportunity allows educators to make a meaningful impact in a flexible, faith-centered environment. Teachers must have at least 6 hours of availability to be considered for employment with Thrive and work Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Deliver educational content aligned with Thrive Academy’s curriculum and learning goals.
- Assess students’ progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and support to help students build confidence and skills.
- Communicate regularly with students and families about progress and next steps.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and learning activities.
- Collaborate with other educators and the Thrive Academy team to continually improve the learning experience.
- Help keep students on track with completing their assignments on time.
- Incorporating Christian values into the lessons and praying for students.
- Do parent-teacher conferences twice per year
- Support with clubs and chapel when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Legally able to work in the US
- Strong subject knowledge in the areas you will teach.
- Previous teaching experience required and online instruction is preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a supportive, patient, and encouraging manner.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with online learning platforms and digital tools.
- Ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
