Executive Director

Location: United States (Remote/Hybrid; Central Pennsylvania preferred)
Position: Full-Time | Exempt

Haven of Hope Global Ministries is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic, operational, financial, and ministry leadership for the organization. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will advance the organization's mission, strengthen its financial sustainability, oversee ministry operations, and cultivate strong relationships with donors, churches, ministry partners, and other key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a spiritually mature, servant-minded leader with demonstrated nonprofit leadership experience, strong fundraising capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for international ministry and Christian discipleship.

Haven of Hope Global Ministries is a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the church, educating the next generation, and empowering communities in the name of Jesus Christ. Through long-term partnerships in Zambia and Uganda, Haven of Hope provides orphaned and vulnerable children with quality education, physical care, and Christian discipleship while strengthening local churches and empowering communities.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing visionary and strategic leadership to advance the mission, values, and long-term sustainability of Haven of Hope Global Ministries.
• Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors to implement the organization's strategic plan and support effective governance, policy implementation, and organizational accountability.
• Developing and leading fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, sponsorship growth, church partnerships, grants, campaigns, and fundraising events.
• Building and maintaining relationships with donors, churches, sponsors, foundations, and ministry partners.
• Collaborating with ministry partners in Zambia and Uganda to strengthen programs, develop local leadership, and foster effective cross-cultural partnerships.
• Providing oversight and accountability for ministry programs, including strategic planning, budgeting, performance measurement, and impact reporting.
• Ensuring sound financial stewardship, ethical operations, regulatory compliance, and child safety.
• Overseeing organizational communications, public relations, and marketing while serving as the organization's primary spokesperson through donor communications, digital media, church presentations, and events.
• Recruiting, leading, and developing staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers while fostering a collaborative, Christ-centered culture of accountability and professional growth.

 Required Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

• Active Christian faith and agreement with Haven of Hope Global Ministries' statement of faith and core values.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in nonprofit leadership, ministry, business administration, communications, international development, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in nonprofit, ministry, or mission-based organizations.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor relationship development.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing organizational operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-cultural environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Successful completion of applicable background checks and child safety clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

• International ministry or nonprofit program management experience.
• Grant writing or major donor fundraising experience.
• Experience working with nonprofit boards.
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial oversight and budgeting.

 Work Environment

• U.S.-based remote or hybrid work environment; Central Pennsylvania preferred.
• Periodic domestic and international travel required.
