Discipleship Pastor/Director Bethany Bible Church

Bethany Bible Church is seeking a part-time Discipleship Pastor/Director who senses God’s call into ministry and has a passion to help believers grow as faithful followers of Jesus.

This role exists to help build and multiply a churchwide culture of discipleship and small groups. The Discipleship Pastor/Director will work under pastoral guidance to strengthen small groups, develop leaders, assist with teacher training, and help implement a clear pathway for spiritual growth and evangelism using established discipleship models.

The goal is not merely to create more programs. The goal is to help every believer grow toward maturity in Christ and embrace the call to both be discipled and disciple others.

Part-time: 10-15 hours per week
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Works with: Lead Pastor, Church Board, Christian Education Committee, Sunday School Director, small group leaders, ministry leaders
Title: Pastor or Director designation determined by qualifications, ordination status, and church approval

●     Loves Jesus deeply and is faithfully growing in their walk with Him.

●     Loves the Word of God and desires to teach the whole counsel of Scripture.

●     A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.

●     A growing sense of calling to pastoral or ministry leadership.

●     A humble, teachable spirit and desire to be mentored.

●     A servant’s heart and love for people.

●     Faithful in personal spiritual disciplines.

●     Relational, approachable, and able to connect well with students and adults.

Primary Responsibilities

●    

Support and Strengthen Small Groups

●     Develop and Equip Leaders

●     Assist with Adult Discipleship Classes and Pathways

●     Encourage One-on-One and Relational Discipleship

●     Coordinate with Other Education Ministries

●     Administration and Communication

Experience and Education (Flexible)

●     Ministry experience through church, internship, or parachurch ministry.

●     Seminary or ministry training is preferred but not required.

●     Ability to teach, communicate, and build relationships.

●     Willingness to continue theological and leadership development.

●     Experience working with middle school and high school students.

●     Experience recruiting and leading volunteers.

Compensation
To be determined based on hours, experience, education, and scope of responsibility.
