Chinese Baptist Church of Orange County (CBCOC) is a Southern Baptist church of approximately 250–300 people in Anaheim, California. Position Purpose

Lead a Gospel-centered, Word-centered children’s ministry that helps children know, love, and follow Jesus Christ while partnering with parents to disciple their families. The ministry serves toddlers through sixth grade.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the children’s ministry and ministry team.

• Administer Sunday morning and Friday night children’s programming.

• Evangelize and shepherd children in the church and surrounding community.

• Cultivate an environment where children grow in faith and love.

• Develop programs that equip parents to disciple their children biblically.

• Equip and coach volunteer teachers to teach consistently and biblically.

• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children.

• Manage the children’s ministry budget and steward resources wisely.

Required Qualifications

• A born-again Christian who senses God’s call to full-time or part-time ministry.

• Demonstrated ability to teach toddlers through sixth-grade students using clear, Gospel-centered, age-appropriate Bible instruction.

• Ability to equip and coach volunteer teachers.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect warmly with children and parents.

• Strong organizational, administrative, planning, and leadership skills.

• Deep commitment to child-safety best practices and safeguards.

• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of children’s ministry leadership experience, including volunteer service.

• Seminary degree.

• Certificate or accreditation in children’s/family ministry, children’s education, or a related field.

• Experience in a multicultural or Chinese church context.

• Mandarin or Cantonese communication ability is a plus.

Employment and Compensation

CBCOC is open to either a full-time or part-time appointment.

• Full-time salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually.

• Part-time compensation: $29–$36 per hour.

• Work location: On-site in Anaheim, California.
