Position Summary

We are prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor of Connections & Growth who has a genuine passion for people, discipleship, leadership development, and church revitalization.

This individual will work directly alongside our Senior Pastor to help strengthen and grow the church through outreach, leadership development, volunteer engagement, pastoral ministry, and strategic planning.

We are not looking for someone to simply maintain ministry—we are looking for a builder.

This position has the potential to grow into greater leadership responsibilities as the church continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Support and faithfully carry out the vision of the Senior Pastor.

• Help lead the church into its next season of spiritual and numerical growth.

• Develop and oversee the guest assimilation process from first-time visitor to active member.

• Build systems that strengthen church health, organization, and communication.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop ministry volunteers and future leaders.

• Lead outreach initiatives that reach the unchurched throughout the Melbourne community.

• Build ministries that engage children, youth, young adults, families, and adults.

• Preach and teach during worship services as assigned.

• Assist with discipleship, pastoral care, baptisms, weddings, funerals, counseling, and prayer.

• Foster a culture of excellence, hospitality, unity, and servant leadership.

• Help identify, disciple, and develop future ministry leaders.

Qualifications

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear call to pastoral ministry.

• Spirit-filled and in agreement with the church's Statement of Faith.

• Previous pastoral or ministry leadership experience.

• Strong biblical teaching and preaching ability.

• A passion for evangelism, discipleship, and church revitalization.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and develop leaders.

• Organized, self-motivated, and able to implement ministry systems effectively.

• Humble, teachable, emotionally healthy, and committed to serving under the vision of the Senior Pastor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving in a growing or revitalizing church.

• Experience leading volunteers and ministry teams.

• Experience in outreach, discipleship, church growth, or leadership development.

• Formal ministry education is appreciated but not required.

• Husband-and-wife ministry teams are encouraged to apply.
