Position Summary

Harbor Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, Christ-centered educator to serve as a Humanities Teacher. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Instruction & Classroom Leadership

Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous lessons aligned with the school’s classical Christian curriculum

Integrate biblical truth faithfully across all subject areas

Employ classical teaching methods

Maintain a well-ordered, joyful, and disciplined classroom culture

Assess student progress and provide timely feedback

Student Formation

Model Christlike character and professional conduct

Mentor and disciple students through instruction and example

Support intellectual, spiritual, and moral development

Collaboration & Community

Collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff

Communicate clearly with parents regarding student progress

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications

· Required:

· Active personal faith in Jesus Christ

· Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct

· Bachelor’s degree (education or subject area preferred)

· Strong communication and classroom management skills

· Preferred:

· Experience in a classical Christian school

· Familiarity with classical pedagogy
